An Understated Environment For An Avant-Garde Thai Dining
In our fourth restaurant for the client, Foodie Collection, Whitespace designed an avant-garde minimal environment with the architectural feel of a dark, industrial ruin. Diners enjoy privacy with a spacious seating arrangement, with an eye on the chefs at work in the open kitchen. An entire wall of the dining room features a hand-painted mural in a contemporary style evoking Thai culture that provides an evocative backdrop for multi-course culinary delights.
Our designers carefully balanced understated interior design while making sure the emphasis would remain on the experience of the food. Our team received recognition for our design work, winning the 2020 International Property Award in the Restaurant category. Further recognitions for Eighty-twenty and Foodie Collection include receiving 1 Micheline Star in 2020, and #47 in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2020. Time Magazine's the World's 100 Greatest Places 2019, BK Magazine's Top Tables & Bangkok Best Pastry Chef 2019, Time’s 2019 World’s Greatest Places.
